Tropical, evergreen perennials with handsome foliage in a wide range of shapes and dramatic markings. 

Maintenance: Tolerant of a wide range of soils. Grows best in friable, moist, well drained soil in warm, humid environments. Trim back untidy foliage and fertilise in spring and summer.

Watering: Water when soil feels dry of plant starts to droop. Keep soil moist but not wet, watering more in summer and less in winter.
