2016 Sparkling Durif

The 2016 vintage was long with a slow ripening of the grapes, resulting in a subtle, elegant palate. This provides a perfect opportunity to produce a Sparkling Durif. Durif is renowned for its rich, dark colour and flavour of blackberry and dark chocolate and this Sparkling Durif version won't disappoint; the perfect accompaniment with canapes or game meat. - Steven Werfel

Fairway | 2016 Durif

'Some years ago I was given a bottle of Durif. It's dark, inky colour intrigued me. The spicy, plummy flavours left me in no doubt - I wanted to grow this variety and make my own wine. It took a few years to source the vines, but I am pleased to say that our small vineyard, on a gentle, north facing slope we call 'the fairway', is fulfilling my dream.
